Who Does It?
QR Codes are generally very easy to generate so for the most
part a company could use a free online generator such as http://www.goqr.me to create their desired code.
This however does not provide any sort of analytics or real time feedback as to
who scans your code or their level of engagement. ScanLife is a company that will provide a
variety of solutions for individuals and both small and large companies who
would like to engage their target through the use of QR codes. Starting with a
basic plan for $25/month it allows for individuals to generate 5 codes with a
total of 500 scans a month, providing basic usage information and simplified
code publishing. For $85/Month the Basic Plus plan allows for 10 codes and
1,000 scans with more code actions and basic analytics for either personal or
small business use. For large companies the enterprise package is what is
offered with no price listing on the website as it is done on a case by case
basis. This option provides full analytics support, advanced code options, a
dedicated account manager and full code publishing.
Clients
Companies such as Nike, Starbucks, and Home Depot have all
used the ScanLife “Mobile Engagement Platform” to reach users in a variety of
campaigns. Starbucks for example with their “Find The Roast You Love The Most”
campaign. Bookmarks were distributed among Starbucks locations where users could
scan the code and vote for their favorite flavor or coffee roasts. As a result
of this over 50,000 votes were cast just on the mobile Starbucks site alone.
The code was also created using a coffee bean esthetic for a more branded
experience.
